Dr Nestor Fylaktos is a Research Scientist at the Cyprus Institute, specialising in the technoeconomics of renewable energy and the integration of storage in RES-heavy systems. His work encompasses energy modelling, hydrogen roadmaps, and the decarbonisation of cities. He collaborates with stakeholders, from municipal authorities to government, to develop policies that accelerate the energy transition. His research interests span distributed energy systems, clean mobility, and the energy futures of the Mediterranean. He focuses on technical and economic optimisation to eliminate emissions across the economy and urban environments.
