The conference “Climate Neutral Blue Cities by 2030: Accelerating Local Change under the EU Cities and Ocean Missions- Η Λεμεσός στην Πορεία για την Κλιματική Ουδετερότητα” is organised by the Municipality of Limassol in the framework of the EU Mission for 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030.
The Conference is under the auspices of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026.
As a port city at the crossroads of Europe and the Mediterranean, Limassol is taking a leading role in driving the green and digital transition towards sustainable, resilient, and inclusive urban development. The event will bring together local authorities, research institutions, businesses, investors, and civic organisations from across Europe to exchange knowledge, best practices, and partnerships that accelerate the path to climate neutrality.
The Conference is expected to receive local, regional and international publicity, and will be attended by European personalities who are leaders in governance, policy, research and the field in which they are economically active.
THE CONFERENCE
The conference is an initiative of the Municipality of Limassol, within the framework of its participation in the European Mission for 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030. Focusing on climate neutrality, urban resilience, and sustainable economic development, the event aspires to serve as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among all key pillars of the transition.
