Leading the Tide: Climate City Contracts as Holistic Governance Tools for Climate-Neutral Blue Cities
- Starting from the example of coastal and port cities, this workshop will explore how Climate City Contracts (CCCs) can function as holistic governance tools navigating complex climate, environmental, and socio-economic transitions. The discussion will focus on practical governance insights, real-world implementation experience, and transferable lessons for blue cities aiming for climate neutrality by 2030.

Cities-Investors Workshop: From City Climate Contracts to Investable Projects
- This interactive roundtable provides a trusted space for cities to present selected early-stage projects and receive constructive feedback from investors and advisors. The focus is on early engagement, market insight, and project maturation rather than immediate deal-making. Through short city presentations and facilitated discussion, the session aims to strengthen project readiness, clarify investor expectations, and build stronger bridges between Mission Cities and the investment community—supporting the transition from strategy to implementation.
14:45-16:00
Limassol Integrated Planning (Mobility – Urban Realm – People)
- This session introduces “42 Months,” an ambitious urban restructuring initiative designed to redefine Limassol’s identity through the lens of movement, inclusivity, and aesthetics. Aligned with the New European Bauhaus values, this innovative project seeks to synchronize transportation, urban design, and social planning into a cohesive city-wide routine.
- Commissioned by the conurbation Municipalities of Limassol, Amathounta, and Polemidia, the project is a collaborative powerhouse led by the University of Cyprus in partnership with Frederick University, Cyprus University of Technology, and a consortium of local and international experts. Our goal is to move beyond traditional planning to provide a bold vision—developing the tools and processes necessary to transform Limassol into a flourishing, livable, and uniquely attractive Mediterranean hub.
