WeeDRIVE is an app-enabled, demand-responsive mobility service designed to address a key contributor to afternoon traffic congestion: high volumes, car-dependent trips generated by after-school travel demand. Launched in Limassol and developed by MaaSLab, WeeDRIVE provides a safe, reliable door-to-door shuttle solution for adolescents aged 12–18, combining intelligent scheduling, real-time GPS tracking, and professionally vetted drivers to deliver predictable, parent-trusted transport while reducing peak-hour traffic pressure in cities.
The platform enables families to plan recurring routes, monitor trips in real time, and manage payments seamlessly, supported by operational analytics that optimize routing efficiency and fleet utilization.
Co-funded through European initiatives under the metaCCAZE project and implemented in collaboration with partners including Limassol Municipality, EMEL, Oxygen for Democracy, and NextBike, WeeDRIVE serves as a validated pilot for scalable, sustainable mobility services with clear potential for replication across cities and integration into wider smart-city and MaaS ecosystems.
