Byron Ioannou is a Professor, Chair of the Department of Architecture, and Director of the Urban Planning and Development Unit at Frederick University. Holding academic qualifications in Architecture and Urban Planning (NTUA) and Planning Law (Leeds Beckett), his work focuses on climate-neutral design, sustainable mobility, and urban resilience. He has received awards for urban regeneration and public space design and serves as an expert in national and international bodies. Within the framework of Limassol’s transition to climate neutrality, his expertise contributes to accelerating local change through innovative spatial strategies, sustainable density management, and the enhancement of resilient urban environments.
