Frank Schweikert is a German marine biologist, journalist, entrepreneur, sailor and diver. He is the founder and chairman of the German Ocean Foundation and the initiator of numerous international ocean and climate initiatives, including the Hamburg Climate Week. Since 2024 he has been a member of the European Commission’s Mission Board “Restore our Ocean and Waters”, where he contributes to strengthening cooperation between science, policy and society for the protection and sustainable use of oceans and waters.
