Zero Waste Alliance Cyprus is a movement committed to accelerating the transition toward circular and zero-waste systems on the island. Bringing together civil society organisations, community groups, and local stakeholders working on sustainability, the Alliance focuses on reducing waste at its source, promoting reuse, supporting sustainable local businesses, and advocating for ambitious waste-prevention policies. The Alliance is coordinated by Friends of the Earth Cyprus and the members of the Alliance are Zero Food Waste Cyprus, Ecological Movement Cyprus, Agno Grocery zero waste shop, Fashion Revolution Cyprus and Kykloikodromio. Through joint campaigns, public events, research initiatives and capacity-building, the Alliance works to shift mindsets and behaviours while pushing for systemic, long-term change. Guided by the principles of the Zero Waste Europe network, we dream of a future where resources are valued, products stay in circulation, and communities actively participate in shaping a cleaner, healthier, and more equitable Cyprus. Our goal is to transform zero waste from an environmental aspiration into a lived reality across municipalities, schools, businesses and everyday life.
